Music
Our Meeting Choir meets weekly to prepare a variety of sacred music specials that are performed during our Sunday morning worship services. We prepare additional music that is performed for Christmas and Palm Sunday Cantata services. Ability to read music is not a requirement, but the desire to enjoy singing with others and learning as we go along is!
Our Handbell Choir is comprised of both adult and teen ringers. We enjoy preparing music to present during Sunday morning worship services using both our 3 octave handbell set and our 3 octaves of chime bells. Beginning ringers do not need to know how to read music, but will be surprised at how quickly a wealth of musical knowledge is learned.
- Sacred Theater and Musical Productions
Our Spring Musicals incorporate both children, youth, and sometimes adults from our Meeting and our School families, and the larger High Point community. These plays include recent performances of "Fiddler on the Roof (Broadway Jr.), "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, "Holy Moses," and "Godspell." Our love offerings have raised thousands of dollars for a variety of mission ministries, such as Friends Disaster Service work for hurricane relief, Native American Indian aid, American inner city ministries, and ministries in Africa.
